System Design Documentation

We have adopted the prototype approach for the design and documentation. The system runs as a prototype at http://www-ai.ijs.muzej.si/~ema/. Here we shall shortly describe its major modules:

EMA - EMployment Agent

At each page there are three buttons: Info, Help and FAQ. As the names tell, these buttons reveal information about the page, provides help and Frequently Asked Questions. There are additional buttons when a user joins the EMA list. There one can store search patterns for vacant jobs or interested workers, and order emails if interesting employment patterns occur. Additional two buttons offer information about interesting WEM employment sites and order emails if information changes there. The last module enables matching between vacant jobs and people looking for jobs.

Ema is an employment agent (a program) that e-mails you info about available jobs in Slovenia; employees looking for jobs etc. For example, you might be interested in getting e-mails about available jobs for directors; about young researchers with just finished Ph.D. in chemistry etc. Go to "Inside Ema" ("First time" when entering for the first time).

Here is the list of modules:

In the Internet age, a working prototype is its best documentation.
